Romans 15:13…”May the God of Hope fill you with joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with HOPE by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

During the Christmas season, our Ukrainian Christian military sisters conveyed that HOPE through their Christmas events funded by OBI’s Global Family Support. Even though it seemed like something small, military families and soldiers were blessed which gave them hope and courage to face a future of hardship and suffering. They met to study God’s Word, encourage each other, and share simple refreshments, like “Wings of Hope” Club in Obukhov. They told the Christmas story with pageants, like “Women’s Heart” Club in Kherson, so that military families are reminded of the true reason Christmas is celebrated, even in the midst of shelling and drone attacks. They bring Christmas joy and hope to children with gifts, songs, and the Christmas story, like “Full of Hope” Club in Kryvyi Rih. They prepared food and small gifts for wounded soldiers and visited them in the hospitals. Many of the sisters are in war zones where they serve civilians who have not fled, as well as the soldiers, by cooking food and washing clothes…and sharing Jesus, like “Women of Faith” Club in Mykolaiv region. They wash clothes for soldiers, provide a bathhouse for soldiers, and teach children how to make simple crafts, like “Joy” Club, which had to move from the Donetsk region to Khmelnitsky because the fighting was so close to them. They picket to bring home prisoners, like the son of the leader of “Fidelity” Club in Kropyvnytskyi. A mother carries a sign which says “Bring Home the Brave.”

Our precious Ukrainian Sisters in Christ continue to need our help to bring more HOPE as they prepare events for the Easter season and Mother’s Day. They are amazingly creative with very few resources. They give sacrificially of their time and personal resources. Please prayerfully consider a donation to support the Easter and Mother’s Day events which they are planning so that the Easter message will be shared, and mothers and wives who are enduring such pain will be remembered.
Please donate to Global Family Support Ukraine to enable them to carry out these special events. Please pray for them as they share the living HOPE of the Lord Jesus Christ with people who have lost hope.
1 Peter 1:3…”Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
In His Service,
Caroline Grube
